I guess this is the type of boat you would leave in the water? i don't know. i found a boat plan that has a beam little over 6 feet wide and 30 feet long weighing 7000 pounds, an identical one 24 feet long boat and the beam a little over 6 feet wide weighing 2340 pounds..
